Today is a superexciting day for us. It is a day ofdreams coming true. We are getting newwindows. We currently have the originalsteel windows from 1956 (yes, I’ll be keeping them and hopefully making agreenhouse). You can imagine thecomplete lack of energy efficiency with the old windows. You could sit on the couch and feel a breezein the winter and burn up in the summer. We went with Window World and so far are quite pleased. We are especially pleased with our Cajuninstaller. He’s a hoot. (I’m slightly agog that I just typed hoot…I’mnot 80 years old for God’s sake).
Our exciting day beganwith a trip to the vet. We dropped allfour dogs off for day care. The ½ miledrive to the vet was exhausting. This iswhat Cujo looked like by the time we got there.

Next, I put together aMcMuffin Casserole and began mixing screwdrivers. Our plan was basically tocreate our own window-install brunch. Theamazing thing about the screwdrivers is we got the orange juice freeyesterday. Winn Dixie was running aspecial for reward cardholders. If youbought three boxes of cereal you got a gallon of milk, half a gallon of O.J.,blueberry muffin mix and fruit snacks for free!! I’m a big fan of their reward cardsystem (any place that you shop...ALWAYS ask if they have a reward card and sign up). I bought two weeks worth ofgroceries for $150 and saved $80…plus, I had a five dollar off coupon. Nothing makes vodka taste better than freejuice!
